2018 in Review

April 2018 Graduation

We have traveled another lap around the sun and the women of Alpha Chi Omega have made sure it has been a year to remember. This year the delta chi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was awarded with the National Council Trophy at the 60th National Alpha Chi Omega Convention held in Austin, Texas. This award is based on many factors including academics, leadership, student involvement, financial responsibly, recruitment, and more. Along with this award the women of the delta chi chapter have been seeking the heights in numerous other ways. This year we have graduated thirteen amazing women. All these women are continuing to seek the heights even after graduation. Elyssa Cappert just finished her first semester at Saint Louis University's accelerated Master of Nursing program and finished off the semester with a 3.94 GPA. Baylie Borman is working with Cerner as an Adoption Coach and has been traveling across the United States working with nurses and doctors to assist them with a new computer software. We are so proud of our sisters and their accomplishments.

This year the delta chi chapter has had to adapt with a change in chapter advisors. Christi Tennyson has returned as the chapter advisor and has been doing a wonderful job. All the women in the chapter are so thankful for her support and determination to help our members become the best versions of themselves. Tennyson says that, "Out of all the volunteer roles I've held in Alpha Chi Omega, Chapter Advisor is the most special to me. It is such a privilege to walk alongside my collegiate sisters during their undergraduate years and watch them bloom into exceptional young women. I am so thankful to come home again and serve the women and chapter I love so much." Along with congratulating Christi, we would also like the thank Katherine Wortman for serving as our chapter advisor and for all her support.
The executive board has also accomplished so much within the last year. Shanna Luebbert put on an amazing recruitment that every member truly enjoyed. Bid day was the most rewarding when we had our fourteen new members run out to the house. Hope Wallace did a phenomenal job with initiation. Emily Gast helped made the transition process for our new members meaningful and enjoyable. Alexis Willingham planned parties and formals to celebrate our seniors and new members. Hannah Abeyta came up with creative new ways to raise money for Card-V including a puppy kissing booth, "let's taco 'bout it," and a car wash. Christy Creed did an amazing job with planning moms’ weekend and Ashley Pendleton planned an enjoyable best friends’ weekend. We are so thankful for our executive board and all that they have done to better our chapter.
